The Ministry of Education and Samsung renew their partnership

The Samsung Innovation Campus and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sport celebrate the results of their partnership for the digitization of education and digital learning in Morocco.

Samsung Morocco and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sport, during a ceremony organized in Rabat on March 30, 2022, are rewarding the participants, winners and winners of the projects developed as part of their partnership, in order to transmit them to teachers and eventually students with future-proof skills and a practical understanding of the technologies that will shape their future, ensuring sustainable growth of the world through innovation in education.

“Today we celebrate the initiatives and efforts to promote digital education and learning, as set out in the Framework Law, which encourages the improvement of teaching quality and excellence in Moroccan schools, particularly through the development of digital resources and the promotion of information and communication integration Technologies (ICT) in education to stimulate educational innovation. explained Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sport.

Constructive projects have been launched in line with the Ministry’s goals related to the digitization of education, which are in line with Samsung’s vision; Samsung Smart School has successfully supported rural schools with limited access to technology. This is a project that the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sport continues to evaluate and monitor on the ground. For example, the two national programs Best Edu App & TelmidTice are to develop mobile educational applications on the “Android” system, and the school support portal “TelmidTice”, which enables access to information and online education, will provide students with digitization of educational content. “In recent years we have been working with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sport to offer students and teachers in Morocco innovative solutions aimed at democratizing the use of new technologies and innovative skills in learning and at school Shape the future of public school students and create a generation of great solvers. says Dohee Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Maghreb Arab (SEMAG).

In 2019, the Samsung Innovation Campus project was launched to renew Samsung Morocco’s commitment to enriching education in the country. This project consists of equipping a training center with computer equipment and televisions in the Regional Education and Training Academies (AREFs) and offers the opportunity to go from practical and in-depth training in the field of technologies (in Python – Arduino – Scratch – Algorithm ) to creative Bringing out talent with better career prospects. The project has been expanded to all regions of the Kingdom covering all aspects of the programme. More than 3,752 public high school students benefited from the initiative through 279 workshops in the 2019/2020 school year and more than 6,685 students in 592 workshops for the 2020/2021 school year.

The Samsung Innovation Campus program affirms both parties’ commitment to education in the Kingdom and their determination to maintain this partnership in pursuit of the success of initiatives to strengthen the capacity of teachers and students to use new information and communication technologies in order to to promote innovations.

Continuing this initiative, Samsung Morocco intends to further mobilize and strengthen the Samsung Innovation Campus project by certifying the students who have benefited from the program, in addition to training other teachers across the kingdom. To formalize this goal, a partnership agreement for 2022 was signed between the two parties.
