“When do we get there?” “It is 4:43 p.m. on this Saturday, March 26, 2022, and the first excitement is spreading on the bus. Departure since noon Cherburg, twelve children, their carers and the volunteers of the Rêves associationdrive towards Clairefontaine. You will live there a weekend in the shoes of the French football team.
At the top, volunteers Isabelle Fautrat and Anthony Leconte are preparing the football lesson that awaits the little Manchois this Sunday. Every detail is worked on to make the weekend perfect.

“I thought it was impossible”
“I’m on my little cloud,” Mathis whispers into Brigitte, his grandmother’s ear. The ten year old has already died long months in the hospital. Club Manche offered him the opportunity to pursue some of his dreams.
For me it’s a bit like a great happiness after hospitalizations, like a reward for our efforts. I went to sleep at La Flèche zoo, very close to the lions. I’m a car enthusiast and was also allowed to drive a Lamborghini. But being in Clairefontaine with the Blues is more than a dream. I didn’t even dare to think about it, I thought it was impossible.
But for Gérard Couillard and the club’s dynamic team of volunteers and supporters, nothing is impossible Oxygen bubbles for families affected by the disease.
“With a little courage and perseverance…”
This trip to national football center was possible thanks to another Cherbourgeoise, Élodie Audrain. Leaning on an acquaintance, she was able to make this meeting with the 2018 world champion and his trainer Didier Deschamps real.

The long-awaited Mbappé
As soon as you enter, the faces move closer to the windows and all the youngest eyes widen. “Look at that car over there, if so, it’s Mbappé’s! “When all players are eagerly awaited, there is one that makes the eyes shine even more. This is the type of activity that we couldn’t have done a few months ago because it was too weak. It’s a precious moment for him, but also for us. The batteries are being charged.
Meet the Blues this Sunday
Hardly time to put the luggage in the room, it’s already dinner time, balanced like the diet of the champions. A few merry games of ping-pong ensued before falling into Morpheus’ arms.
Falling asleep just a few steps from the chateau that is home to the best French footballers, there is no doubt that participants will have sweet dreams while waiting to meet their idols “in real life” this Sunday.
