Four partnership and cooperation agreements were signed on Friday in Rabat between the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture and the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of Moroccan Universities Ministerial Delegation for Human Rights and the Moroccan Association of Presidents of Prefectural and Provincial Councils.
The signing of these agreements is part of the ongoing effort to share information and data with this national body to enable it to respond to various correspondence from UNESCO, ISESCO and ALECSO to highlight advances in education and science, Culture, communication, sustainable development, youth, sport, oceanography and space science.
These agreements, signed during the regular session of the General Assembly of the Commission, chaired by the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sport and the President of the Commission, Chakib Benmoussa, allow for the exchange and sharing of experiences presented by Partner organizations in the member countries.
The first agreement signed with ESEC aims to establish an exchange of experience, data and research and study results, carry out joint activities, deepen consultation and coordination on issues raised by UNESCO organizations, ISESCO and ALECSO, and to provide them with official information and data.
It will also allow to benefit from the databases of the three organizations that will be made available to the National Commission through electronic platforms.
The second agreement, signed between the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation and Moroccan universities, aims to jointly carry out projects, programs and studies, organize training, mentoring, expertise and consultancy activities and invest in scientific research in the fields of education, training, sustainable development and other areas of intervention of the National Commission, in addition to supporting the creation and revitalization of science chairs and clubs affiliated to the three organizations and monitoring the progress of their activities.
The third agreement, signed with the Ministerial Delegate responsible for human rights, aims to carry out projects, programs and studies and carry out activities in areas related to human rights in the fields of education, science and culture.
The fourth agreement, signed with the Moroccan Association of Presidents of Prefectural and Provincial Councils, aims to contribute to the implementation of projects, programs and studies and carry out educational, scientific and cultural activities at the level of each region , in Framework of promoting decentralization and supporting the economic, social, cultural and environmental development efforts of the prefecture and regional councils.
The signing of these agreements was marked by the presence of the Minister for Youth, Culture and Communications, the Minister for Economic Integration, Small Business, Employment and Skills, the Minister for Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, the Interministerial Delegate for Human Rights, the Director General of ICESCO and the President of the Moroccan Association of Presidents of Prefectural and Provincial Councils and the members of the National Educational, Scientific and Cultural Commission.
