In an interview with Paris Match, little Maëly’s family revealed that they had received very disturbing news during the trial of the girl’s killer, Nordahl Lelandais.
The verdict finally fell. On February 18, 2022, Nordahl Lelandais was sentenced to life imprisonmentwith a 22-year sentence, for the kidnapping and murder of Maëlys de Araujo, 8, on August 27, 2017. A great relief for the family of little Maëlys who had to go through hell for this conviction. In conversation with Paris matchMaëlys’ mother and older sister, Jennifer Cleyet-Marrel and Colleen de Araujo, revealed that they received surreal hate messages from malicious people during the three weeks of the Nordahl-Lelandais trial.
“During the trial, I received messages telling me that my mother was responsiblesays Colleen, 16. I replied that I don’t need her opinion, that I know my mother.” “Lots of people sent us mean stuffconfirms the mother of the latter, as if we didn’t have enough suffering already. Even my sister received some, calling us bad parents and explaining that the others (Nordahl Lelandais, publisher’s Note) was the father of Maëlys or that Joachim (by Araujo, Maëlys’ father)my ex-husband knew him.”
Colleen de Araujo: “I received a pornographic video montage with Maëlys”
In addition to these messages, the little Maëlys’ sister declares that she has received them “a pornographic video montage” his sister. The content is as shocking as it is harrowing, prompting them to file a complaint against their sender. “The author was never found.she says anyway. But another was convicted, a father of three from Sarreguemines, for writing this message: “Maëlys was ugly. He must have had a lot of fun with her.'”
After the disappearance of Maëlys, which occurred on August 27, 2017, during a wedding party in Pont-de-Beauvoisin (Isère), the little girl’s parents were torn and eventually divorced. Also, Jennifer Cleyet-Marrel lost her job. So much torture, that’s how the relatives of the little Maëlys are trying to get up today.
