Egg races in Saint-Brisson-sur-Loire

“We’re dusting off the Easter egg hunt,” warns the team at Château de Saint-Brisson-sur-Loire. It provides an orientation course across the three hectares of the estate that combines puzzles, adventure and logic.

A sporting challenge “unique in France”, she assures, to share with family or friends, with a chocolate reward at the end of the day. The egg race is scheduled for Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th and Monday 18th April. Three race starts (in teams of a maximum of ten people) are planned for this day.

Stained glass workshop in Sully-sur-Loire

At the Château de Sully-sur-Loire, children can give free rein to their creativity. The team is offering stained glass workshops on Wednesdays, May 13, 20, 27 and 4 from 2pm to 3pm. Toddlers will first discover the details of how a stained glass window is made, You can then make an Easter egg using stained glass paper.

Introduction to calligraphy in Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire

The Belvedere of Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire, an interactive space dedicated to the history and architecture of the Fleury Abbey, is planning two workshops, one on Wednesday April 13th and another on Thursday April 14th, from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The first highlights the calligraphy illumination. Young people first look at a manuscript from the abbey. Then they try their hand at calligraphic illumination with a reed pen.

On Thursday, the children discover the models of the Belvedere and make their own miniature model of the basilica out of cardboard.
