Anna Avril, For her part, the Director General of UNICEF France recalled the urgency of the situation of children in Ukraine and the need for a strong public mobilization to immediately support the programs implemented by UNICEF teams on the ground. UNICEF has been present in Ukraine for 30 years and mobilizes on the ground to provide the population with drinking water (tanks, cleaning tablets), medicines, hygiene kits, energy biscuits or even warm clothing to welcome them to the “blue dots”. , reception areas to offer families care, water, food and access to essential health facilities after several days of walking.
« We need the zeal of the people of Lyon to hold a big popular event. A Ukrainian child crosses the border every second. All funds raised are used to support our programs for these children », She said.

« This is the first time the foundation has organized an event of this magnitude and brought our former players together. All ticket sales and monies raised during the gala dinner will be donated to the UNICEF program and OL Foundation’s children’s fundraisers », she explained.
