congratulations to Carlin Bates! the Raise Bates alum and her husband, Evan Stewartwelcomed her second baby on Sunday March 27th.
“Welcome to the world, baby!” The 23-year-old reality star shared a family photo taken in the hospital on Instagram. “Thank you all for the many messages and prayers you have sent us! we are in heaven
Bates married the 26-year-old electrician in Tennessee in May 2019, eight months after Stewart got down on one knee. In September 2019, the duo announced they were starting a family.
“We are beyond excited to be expecting our first child,” the couple wrote in a statement at the time. “Spending every day with your best friend and building a life together has already exceeded our happiest dreams. We are so lucky to be parents together. Three at the table is perfect! God is so good.”
Five months later, the couple told exclusively We weekly that Layla, now 2 years old, had arrived.
“How does one describe such an emotionally intense and magically wonderful experience of welcoming a brand new baby into the world?” The new parents said in a February 2020 statement. “We feel like our lives have been incredibly busy yet incredibly blessed is with the arrival of baby Layla Rae! She has already consumed our thoughts and intentions during the final months of pregnancy and now no day will ever be the same without her! Although it arrived earlier than expected, it was the best party we’ve ever had and we’re so in love with our new role as parents!
The toddler was having trouble breathing due to a “little hole in his heart,” Bates told his Instagram followers in May 2020.
“She’s gotten so much stronger. We’re so proud of her,” the Liberty University graduate wrote via Instagram in February the following year, noting that there hadn’t been any “fear” recently. “She is fine, she is checked regularly.”
That same month, Bates said exclusively we that she wants “a few” children – not 19 like her mother, Kelly Jo Bates.
Bates and Stewart announced in August 2021 that baby #2 was on the way with pregnancy photos.
“Let the baby shopping adventure, cravings, morning sickness (sometimes all day) and late night snacking begin!” The then-waiting star captioned an Instagram post at the time. “Every step in the baby’s journey is worth it and being parents is the best part of our story! …our newest member of the crew is frankly more exciting than we can really put into words.
The former UPtv personality was “ready to appear” on Monday March 21 and wrote via Instagram that she would miss her [her] Bumps and those little baby kicks. She concluded: “I’m soaking up these next few days.”
